Customer Reviews
Installed the showerhead and enjoyed it for about three weeks, before the main showerhead began to make a high-pitched screaming shriek, which pretty much negates any relaxing effect from the blue light. Not happy about having to replace it after three weeks, I will probably just get another main showerhead to replace the shrieking one, and keep the separate hose showerhead for cleaning purposes.
This showerhead combo is the most unique that I have EVER seen! Not only do the showerheads provide a luxurious shower with different settings, but they light up with LEDs! No electricity needed, it powers itself! How cool is that!?!? If you are not a morning person, this LED showerhead combo provides a smooth awakening to the morning light. The cool, soft blue LEDs lights let you shower in the dark while giving you the light you need to shower safely, shave(face, legs or otherwise) and/or just enjoy a the luxury. This combo is a must have! I gave the showerheads to my wife as a housewarming gift...she LOVES it...and it is perfect for her as she is not a morning person! :) Business beyond the showerhead combo, I have to say that Ana Bath, Inc is the best, most honest company to work with. I had a minor problem when I first installed the combo. I emailed Ana Bath and I received a reply that same day! They were more than happy to ship me a replacement part with a paid return label for the broken part. Because Ana Bath is all about the customer, they wanted the part back to study it so that they can make their products even better than they already are! That says something right there about the company...service with a smile and a desire to please! Purchase their products (especially this showerhead combo) with confidence that you are getting a suburb product from a suburb company! Thank you Ana Bath, Inc!!!
My old (and mineral encrusted) handheld shower head that came with the house finally exploded last week, giving me the perfect excuse to buy a fancy new LED showerhead! This is the one (or rather, the two) that I chose, and I am glad I did!First, I submitted two product pictures, so go take a look :)* Assembly *Reasonably easy. Plenty of thread-sealing tape is included. The instructions say to use wrenches to tighten the connections. All a wrench did for me was allow me to overtighten the connection onto the shower pipe and pop a gasket out of place, forcing me to take it back off and retrieve the gasket from inside the shower pipe. I suspect I caused additional damage too, as the entire assembly rotates a bit too easily on the shower pipe if I bump it. No leaks though. Will probably fix with Gorilla tape or something :D* Water flow / shower heads *Both shower heads are identical as far as spray patterns. You can direct water to either head alone or to both heads at the same time. I have high water pressure (~75 PSI) and notice a definite but not dramatic increase in output pressure when using one head versus both. There are 3 rings of nozzles. From inside to outside, the number of nozzles increases and stream size/pressure decreases. There are 5 Spray patterns which allow you to use any of the 3 nozzle rings independently, or you can combine the outermost ring with one of the inner rings. You cannot, however, have water coming from all nozzles at once or use just the two inner rings. The flow in all spray patterns is amazingly straight and even, though I suspect this is the case with all new shower heads that haven't had time for mineral buildup. The middle setting (outer nozzles only), is the most gentle and evenly distributed shower I have ever experienced.* LED Lighting *The LEDs are all blue. The brightness of the lights is directly and immediately linked to the water pressure since that is what powers them. In my shower (~75 PSI water pressure at the pipe) switching from two heads to one head does not make them any brighter, so I suspect there is some circuitry to prevent overloading the LEDs. If you have low water pressure, they may not reach their full brightness with both heads on, and they might even flicker a bit. For me, one head flickered on certain spray patterns but only during the first few minutes of use on day 1. Now, the lighting is constant. I just wish they had a red option as it would not affect night vision as much as blue.Edit [March 16, 2012]: The shower heads are still in great condition and the LEDs are going strong. The water output is still mostly straight, despite the high mineral content of my water!
While I almost never do long reviews, this one merits it. I spent a LONG time reading reviews for LED bathroom faucets and showers because I really like them alot. However, there do not seem to be many products out there at this time with LED enhancement that seem to work well for long periods of time, possibly because the technology for this is new. This AnaBath unit seemed to have good reviews for the most part. When you take the stuff out of the package, it all looks very good. There is a fair amount of plastic but the unit seems of pretty good quality in respect to finish and while the controls are a bit stiff (two hands to change spray patterns), it all worked well... well almost...1. There is a leak (from the start) between the shower pipe nut (incoming port) and the shower head flow switch (diverter). When I contacted Anabath, they said this "If you take a look inside the 3-way diverter hex nut, you can see a washer is preinstalled inside it. The material of this washer is different from the ones for the handheld shower, stationary shower head, or hoses because this hex nut is connected to the shower arm which has a thin, sharp edge and a special material of washer is needed at this connection. For some cases, you may need a wrench to tighten this nut a little bit to ensure the shower arm is firmly attached the washer to prevent leaking. However, if it still leaks, please contact us. We will ship you a new one for replacement."Well... when I tried to contact them again, I wound up with Amazon Customer Service instead but I digress. This leak, no matter how tight the nut was tightened, continued. It is not a significant leak, but a pretty steady drip. I tried all sorts of washers.... flat rubber (both thick and thin), brass, copper, "O" rings, ete., etc, and nothing worked. The leak continues. When I was unable to contact Anabath again (links were gone on the pages and the reply email came back to me), I wound up talking with Amazon. All I wanted was a new diverter valve but Amazon just refunded my money... I really had no choice in the matter as they were unable to contact the seller due to no phone number on file.I certainly appreciate Amazon for promptly refunding my money but all I really wanted was a cool and functional LED shower head...Now the shower head, while continuing to leak, has also developed the irritating "whistle" noise previously mentioned by others. This seems to be due to air being sucked into the main shower head. If you wrap your hand around where the shower head meets the diverter valve, the whistling slows or changes. The LED's will flicker as it pulls air as well. I do not expect this shower head to last very long now and I have only had it a week...What is frustrating to me is that I wasted so much time looking and am now back to square one. This unit should never have been for sale but that seems to be the norm anymore, while it may be basically junk, it is for sale anyway on Amazon. While the LED part works well, all the other issues make this unit a total waste of time for me.
this shower head is the coolest thing ever, turning off the lights and being bathed with cool blue lites not to mention the high pressure message sprays this has. hands down this is well worth the price and more
Totally pleased with this shower head combo. Not only does it look awesome when running it is very functional and effective. The hose on the detachable part is very flexible. I have had problems with other hand held showers being too stiff and always knocking everything over on the shower caddy. The one drawback (which is totally logical but I didn't anticipate) was that you go through the hot water faster when using both heads at once. But since you are rinsing with that much more water you take a quicker shower so it balances out. The knob to switch from dual flows to one or the other is easy to turn and I appreciate the click to let you know when you are completely switched over.I would recommend this item to shower lovers everywhere.
When I first used the new shower heads, they often flickered off and on. I contacted Ana Bath, and they quickly responded. I received new heads in only a few days. Everything works great, and plus, the adjustable shower settings work fantastic. Thank you Customer Service Ana Bath! The whole family is now enjoying a real cool shower!
