Owners of a TrojanUVMaxTM can drink with confidence knowing 99.99-Percent of illness-causing microorganisms, including E. coli, Cryptosporidium and Giardia are destroyed, supplying safe water to every tap. UV water purification is a natural process that adds no chemicals and does not affect the taste or odor of water. Other methods, such as those that use chlorine, may create harmful chemicals that have been linked with serious illnesses, such as cancer. Maintenance is simple and can be completed in minutes - without tools. It's as easy as replacing the UV lamp once a year and periodically cleaning the sleeve.

After a simple bacteria test on my well water came back positive for microbes, I decided to get a whole house water purification system. I already have a water softener system and two filter pods. This is important because the system REQUIRES that you have a <5 micron filter. So one filter is a pre-filter (sediment filter) - and the next is the required <5 micron filter. The system requires that you have plumber install it. Even as a handy DYI-er, I wouldn't try installing it alone. My friend who is a plumber finished the job in about 2 hours with minimal fuss.I retested the water using the same bacteria test, and now its completely clear. There is a bulb life of 1 year - and the display counts down the days until you need to replace the bulb. Its a simple, yet elegant system.I got this system from "Serv-A-Pure" (through Amazon) - it came quickly with no hassles.
