   This is a high-quality door knob. Installation effort is consistent with your average door knob. The locking mechanism works great, if you are within the room and actuate the lock. You CAN NOT actuate the lock, and then pull the door closed behind you as you exit. I'm trying to keep kids out of a room, so this is a flaw that reduces it's usefulness.It's by design, so I was not aware.
