Great price on amazon once again. I knew right away buying faux windows the construction wasn't going to be that of a "real" window. So with that in mind they came just as I expected and once they are screwed to the door they are reinforced well. I actually removed the top panel of my garage door, and layed it flat on saw horses to lay them out. It wasn't that much more effort to do rather then trying to do it vertically. With them on the horses you can use the actual window to mark your screw holes rather then the paper template. I'm not a fan of paper templates. I used a little silicone caulk after I drilled the holes (just a dab over each hole) on my door before I layed the window in place to help prevent future corrosion of my door. I have received plenty of complements on them. They look great. No regrets!
Installed easily and looks great. Much cheaper than a new carriage-type garage door and also more secure since there's no windows to break and release the manual pull rope mechanism from outside. The power lift has had no difficulties with the additional ~ 20 pounds the faux windows add. Maybe a little overpriced considering they are abs plastic "windows" and vinyl frames but still much cheaper than elsewhere online - upwards of 275$/pr. Totally not worth that much, but I feel like i got a good price here on amazon.
Very useful product. I had a blank garage door in front but these windows really gave my house some character. It looks very realistic. I am very pleased with the results. I think they are a little expensive, but they are quality and should last a long time.
This is a great looking product and a great idea, I have two small problems with it, it's too expensive for what's it made of and second is the screws provided are too long, I had to buy shorter ones.
