   We mounted this under the eave as shown in the picture, with the solar panel mounted a couple feet away to catch direct sunlight. The unit worked great for about three days....AND THEN IT RAINED. The unit stopped working completely. I climbed up and unscrewed the unit. It was literally FULL of water. The batteries had corroded and the circuit boards shorted out. Unit was a piece of junk.
