No self respecting kitchen will be without good quality twine. The quality and price is right and I put this in a reusable holder so I can pull it out and cut what I need; no unwinding issues.
As others have said, this is perfectly good twine for general use and for roasting. It is considerably thicker than normal kitchen twine, and while the twine ball is fairly small it will not fit into a conventional kitchen twine holder/dispenser.
I bought this to tie up my chickens and roasts in my rotissere oven and it works great. Holds well when oven is rotating. Will buy again! Great price for all you get!
This is a food safe twine that is made of unbleached cotton. This roll provides 220 feet/67 meters of twine, and it's thick enough to use for roasting meats.I have used this for decorating baked goods too, tying twine around brownies and cookie bars. It's a little too thick for delicate decorations, but I appreciate the multi-purpose uses for cooking, roasting, and decorating baked goods. This was cheaper than my local Walmart.
The twine does the job, but I would have preferred something thinner. It was so thick that it slipped right off the shanks before I could even brown them off for osso bucco.Oh, and since the product description fails to mention, MADE IN CHINA.
I purchased this twine for all my roasting needs as well as for crafts projects. It is just what I needed and at a fraction of the cost of other retailers. Highly recommend.
