    Clematis Window Film 24-by-36-Inch Reviews

    1. This product looks terrific in our bathroom window. I told my husband I was tired of the dusty mini-blinds. I used to avoid looking at the dirty window sill. Now I stare at our beautiful window. It also provides the privacy we needed. I do suggest you buy the window film adhesive spray and kit. I got mine at our local Home Depot. Use the spray liberally. Take your time and use the squeegie in the kit to press the product to the edge and use it as your straight edge. Use the squeegie provided with this product to smooth out the air bubbles. Enjoy!

    2. My husband applied this window film yesterday. The colors are rich, deep and very pretty. However, the instructions do not state that the film shrinks in the drying process. The film was cut to fit the window exactly, but while drying it began pulling away from the center. He had to then push the two pieces together to keep the match. When completely dried, the film now does not cover the entire window and there is a clear line of glass on each side. If we were forewarned about this and made proper adjustments, it would look professionally done. However, now it does not look as it should. Disappointed.

    3. After reading the review about using adhesive, I called the manufacturer and they DO NOT recommend using any adhesive. It is designed to go up on smooth glass (or plexiglas) easily and stay up until you decide to take it down. I put it up in my kitchen window, and it looks great both inside and out- my neighbor LOVES it when the light comes through it in the evening!

    4. I am renovating a 90-yr-old house and needed something to cover 4 short windows in a bedroom I had that gets a lot of sun. This window film is perfect. Besides being great looking(both inside and out), it really does save energy. The room is cooler and my energy bill really did decrease. I've used another pattern that was not as pretty...this pattern is heavy and really pretty....also easy to install...I encourage anyone to try....also great because you can remove easily if you want, and it does come in other pretty patterns (magnolia, etc.)

    5. this is really, really quick and easy to put up with soapy water and the included squeegy tool (although a credit card would work as well). the pattern is beautiful and i get tons of compliments. the film itself is textured, which makes it look even more realistic. it doesn't let in as much light as i thought it would, but it does still let some light shine through. i would buy this again.

    6. I was very nervous about this product because I was concerned about it looking cheap. But it doesn't at all. It really worked great on a long narrow window we have (I actually had to buy two and piece them together). We used no adhesive as per the directions. We cut it bigger than needed, applied it with soapy water, and then trimmed the edge with a penknife (dragging the blade sort of inside the wooden frame). It doesn't shrink exactly, but it does tighten up, so I definitely recommend giving yourself some extra material around the frame and then cutting it down to size. It's been up about a month and it looks great from inside and out. It doesn't cut out that much light and it really looks like stained glass!

    7. Loved this window film. It not only looks great but it has also made our home more energy efficient. Tools and instructions for installation were provided which made it easy for even a first timer like me.

    8. I put this on a window at the top of my stairs. I just didn't want people walking into curtains when they got to the top. I'm very happy with the way it turned out. If you get up close you can see where I was imperfect in my cutting, and that it's not really staided glass, but from a short distance it is just beautiful. From outside at night, it shines when the lights are on, and you can't tell from the street that it's not real. The texture really adds to it. I wouldn't have chose this pattern, I liked another one better, but this one was textured and I'm glad I went with that.It was easy to put on. You should absolutely get a square ruler and a fresh exacto knife, but getting it to stick to the window is easy with a little soap and water. And adjusting it is simple too. I didn't have any problem with shrinkage (I really don't think it soaked up any water anyway). In my opinion, this is a great alternative to blinds or curtains. Especially for a decorative look on a small budget.

    9. Like a previous reviewer, I had put off starting this project because I thought it was going to be hard. Nothing could be further from the truth. I measured my windows, added about an inch to be sure I had it large enough and to account for any "shrinkage". (That word will forever remind me of Seinfeld.) The film, with paper wrapping, was easy to cut with plain scissors and easy to follow my traced straight line.I had my daughter help for an extra pair of hands. We sprayed with soapy water, peeled off the backing and just stuck it on there. SO easy. It is also easy to adjust/straighten while it's really wet. My daughter loved doing the squeegee'ing, so who was I to stop her? It took less than 5 minutes per window (we did two) to squeegee out all the bubbles. I'm now allowing the film to dry completely before cutting off the excess overhang. It looks beautiful! I'm extremely pleased with this purchase.

    10. product was slightly darker than i anticipated but looked beautiful when completed. it was very easy to work with and was not nearly as time consuming as i thought it would be
