    1. I got this product because a good friend told me about putting my water heater on a timer. He told me it would cut my electricity up to about 30%. That is what he saved using a timer on his water heater. I wanted one that was easy to use and that I could program. For the Money you can't beat this unit! It is about the same price as the mechanical ones but I like this one better.IT took about 15 minutes to instala and about 5 minutes to read and program. Now that is fast for a Guy to read instructions and program. The unit was very easy to program considering I wanted it on only 2 hours a day every day. That was easy. I have hot water all the time and I am waiting for my new electric bill. This unit should pay for itself in 1 month if my friends advise was correct. This is a Great unit. I am going to buy more of their programmable timers for other things now. I hope you have the same Great experience with the one you get. This is an A+ Product.

    2. new out of box....cycled once then total failure. won't even work in the manuel mode. the instruction, which you can view on their website, is incomplete and raises more questions than it answers. when i called their "service" center in took 3 separate calls...all toll from where i live in the BVI....then was told....yes it defective....just return it....easier said than done....no we sorry or how can we help you...one was left with the impression that they say "just return it" often.

    3. I'm no electrician and I installed this for my 1.5 hp pool pump with no problem. This took me about 1.5 hours to intall. Just have some 12 gauge wire and some nice wire strippers. Instructions are fairly easy to understand.

    4. The products works great so far. It is a generic timer so it took a bit of time to adapt it for my water closet. But now it working great. I've got it set to 2.5 hours in the a.m. and in the evening. The instructions on wiring could be more comprehensive. But overall, a good purchase.

    5. The timer does as advertised. It is very easy to install and the programming is very straight forward. The enclosure is pretty sturdy.Overall, I think it is pretty good value for the money.

    6. Very easy to install and wire up. The instructions are very, very minimal which is not an issue if you have any idea how wiring works. The display is very easy to read from any reasonable angle and the buttons provide a firm sensation of contact and presses cause instant action on the screen; there's no guessing if your button press was successful or not.The part that was confusing to me initially was the timer programming. Most of the electronic timers I've used attempt to replicate a mechanical timer with the ability to set different schedules on different days, but this timer seems to operate very differently. Each "program", and there are 7 consists of one on time and one off time. The times can span days or occur every day, so P1 on @ Monday 1pm and off Wednesday @7pm would be one program entry; or P2 on @ 12:00am every day and off Tuesday @ 11a, would be one program entry. With this method there can be conflicts and I don't know how the system will resolve them. Ex: It seems possible to set P1 for ON @ 1pm Monday and OFF @ 6pm every day and P2 for ON @ 12pm Monday and OFF @ 5pm Monday. the question there is will the load be on or off from 5pm to 6pm on Monday? It seems to me the usual manual timer emulation may have been easier, but an even better method wold be to have events instead of on/off locked programs. 14 events could either be and off or on event and a default/preferred state specified to explicitly resolve conflicts. In my case I'm trying to put a wellhead pump on a schedule to align with my electric utility's off-peak hours which are weekdays 5-9 am & pm and all weekend, but this requires conflicting and overlapping programs that I will have to watch to see how this works.

    7. I used this for my pool filter and clorinater. I love it. easy to use, has a 3-way switch hook-up to turn on and off without opening the cover for backwashing. I couldn't dream a better product for my pool filter.

    1. Programming instructions are LAME want to program off 6-10 AM, and off again from 6-10 PM Mon thru Fri. I hesitate to call Canada (toll) help desk when I read complaints about long hold times I think I'll send it back and buy one that's easier to program or at least has better instructions. I am a Master Electrician and still don't know what the 3-way compatability feature is.

    2. How do I tell if the voltage switch is set to the correct voltage, either 120 or 240 volts? The voltage switch marking is confusing?
