   I'm a teacher of Language Arts and this collection of Trevino's short stories was a hit with my at-risk readers. The first story ("The Fabulous Sinkhole") was witty and lighthearted, yet exposed the hidden realities of being in this world via the objects in and the subjects surrounding the sinkhole. The characters' voices sound as if they could live on your street; the dialogue is natural and lively. The rest of the stories in this collection follow the same formula as above but just get weirder and funnier. A great book for any young adult who doesn't like to read fiction, yet loves horror movies, comic books and stories about low-rider zombies returned from the dead to slash and burn cultural stereotypes.
